Frequently asked questions
Every home and every client is unique. Once we've had our free home consult call and you've shared photos and videos of the space you'd like help with, I'll provide a quote estimating the number of days needed. The overall timing can vary depending on how much decluttering is involved, how quickly decisions are made, and how involved you'd like to be throughout.
For any job that's purely organisation, or for unpacking after a move, you don't need to be home, as long as we've agreed in advance the systems that will work best for you and your family. For any job involving decluttering and decisions about your belongings, I'll usually need you available briefly at certain points to make those decisions. After that, you're free to carry on with your day while I organise and create your systems. My aim is always to work in the way that feels most comfortable for you.
I'm based in Droitwich, and there's no additional travel cost within 30 miles. Beyond that, I charge 45p per mile. I'm happy to travel anywhere in the UK (or abroad), but for projects lasting more than one day and more than two hours away, I'd also ask for accommodation costs to be covered. This is all set out clearly in your quote.
Before booking, we'll arrange a free home consult call to chat through your space, the support you're looking for, and whether we're the right fit. Once I've seen photos or videos of the space, I'll provide a tailored quote outlining the recommended level of support and an estimated timeframe. No dates are confirmed until the quote has been approved and the deposit paid.
To confirm your date(s), I ask for a Β£150 per day deposit (for example, a two-day job would need a Β£300 deposit). Deposits are non-refundable, as your dates are reserved exclusively for you. The balance is invoiced on completion and due within 7 days. Payment is by bank transfer; card payment can be offered but with a 5% surcharge to cover my costs.
Not a problem at all. If you have lively dog(s), I'd just ask that they're kept out of the way while I'm working, for health and safety reasons, especially if we're organising a downstairs room.
It varies by job. To create systems that feel practical and easy to maintain long-term, I'll often recommend some additional storage. This isn't included in your quote, but once you've booked I'll provide a detailed recommendation with different cost options to suit your budget. You'd then purchase these in advance, ready for our organising session.
For one month after our session, I'm available by message or email to answer any questions or advise on any tweaks as you settle into your new systems. After that, you can book a Refresh Day directly with me, many clients book one in once a year for a little TLC and to help adjust to changes at home (like the kids getting older!).
Every home is different, and my approach is always tailored to your family, routines and lifestyle.
